The Rusty Bus! What a great patina the weather has created to this old bus.

I know, it's not even halloween yet!  I am one of those people who just loves Christmas!  The lights, the decorating, the family, the gift giving, the cooking, I love it all!  Here I placed tons of tulle fabric around the base of the tree.  Then placed my town at varied heights, the tulle hides the boxes the buildings sit on as well as the cords.  It's like a winter wonderland.

taking a look at the entire display

I enjoy collecting all sorts of things yet not all of those things can be used in everyday use, but I want to enjoy them all the same.  In the upper photo I have placed a few pieces from my mirror collection together and in the other photo I have put together two collections, creamware and ironstone.  It's fun to throw in other pieces that are similar in color but that may give interest and depth to the display .  In doing this, it really allows those pieces to shine and be appreciated.  I'm constantly changing things to suit the seasons or just rotating things so that I can actually use those pieces, while changing and displaying other collecctions I haven't seen for a time.  So don't be afraid to place your collections on display, what better way to enjoy them.

summer at the rusty bus farm

The garden is filled with new things everyday!   A nice surprise I found hidden away was the small hand created green house made from a vintage window maybe from this very 1906 farmhouse, who knows how long ago.  It makes the perfect addition being "re vamped" as garden art!
This sweet little angel watches over the garden with her crown is a "re-vamped" old lamp base!

The view out to the garden from the dining room is a lovely place to have a friend for lunch.  The slip covers on the dining room chairs are simply feed sacks draped over the back of the chairs.  I love how they fold and flow naturally giving the chairs a casual feel to the room...
